About The Position
As a Security Officer - Full Time - Overnights in Davenport, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, office areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor activity, verifying credentials when required, and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
- Support day-to-day operations by preparing reports, maintaining awareness of changing site conditions, and assisting with security-related requests in a professional manner.
