You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in, and communicate clearly with employees and guests. Through routine rounds and attentive observation, you will help to deter security-related incidents, document activity, and support a welcoming environment backed by an agile, reliable, innovative team that leads with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, access control protocols, and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at access points by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems to identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access, then report concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting events in required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, lobbies, parking areas, and the building perimeter, noting hazards or suspicious activity and communicating findings to site contacts.
