About The Position

As a Security Officer - Food Processing Plant - Patrol and Access Control in Manchester, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at a retail location. Your responsibilities include monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your duties while representing our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures at the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by maintaining a professional presence.
Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and offering directions to visitors and staff.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and client management.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns and report findings.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or law enforcement as needed.
Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and helping to manage crowd control when appropriate.
