About The Position

As a Security Officer - Food Processing Plant - Patrol and Access Control in Manchester, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at a retail location. Your responsibilities include monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your duties while representing our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures at the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by maintaining a professional presence.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and offering directions to visitors and staff.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and client management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns and report findings.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and helping to manage crowd control when appropriate.
