As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support students, faculty, staff, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication, while reporting concerns and documenting activity. Requirements
- Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, unauthorized persons, disturbances, and/or medical events.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, building access control, and/or verification of credentials as required by site procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, and security-related activities in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate observations to supervisors and campus partners.
