Security Officer - 40 hr Nights
About The Position
The Connecticut Children’s Security Officer is responsible for assisting in the coordination of activities for the day-to-day security operations at all Connecticut Children’s Medical Center affiliated locations as designated by the Security Manager, including but not limited to: the main hospital campus located at 282 Washington Street, Primary Care Facility, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center School, as well as other off-site locations. Work with other Security Officers as a team providing prompt response to calls for security assistance. The Security Officer will take a proactive role in addressing any situation related to the safety and security of patients, students, staff and visitors while making appropriate notifications to the Security Manager, Executive Management Team personnel and local law enforcement. Ensures a high quality of service is provided by the Security department, responds to and provides guidance to other security personnel, hospital/school staff and visitors during emergency situations. Assists with patient watches and restraints; ensures that all aspects of security activities within the institution are adhered to. Ensures that the safety and security of patients, students, staff, visitors and property are maintained through the vigilant adherence to policies and controls in a calm and professional manner. Responsibilities
