About The Position

This role is for a Security Officer Patrol Response in Fort Wayne, IN, where you will serve and safeguard clients in various industries, including Tech/Media/Telecom. As an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents. The position requires delivering outstanding customer service, supporting access awareness, and communicating clearly with employees and guests, all while upholding Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points, with attention to unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas in accordance with site protocols.
  • Support day-to-day operations by reporting maintenance concerns, security-related hazards, and/or suspicious behavior, while following Allied Universal post orders and client-directed procedures.
