The role involves a fixed-shift commitment (Anchor Shifts) at a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment. Additionally, employees can pick up extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing for a flexible schedule that can range from part-time to up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed. This position is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or property-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and document daily operations, incidents, and/or maintenance issues according to site expectations.
• Support a welcoming residential environment by addressing questions, providing directions, and reporting suspicious or unauthorized activity to the appropriate contacts.
