About The Position

Join our great team of Security Officers at Covenant Village retirement community. We have 2 part-time 2nd Shift weekend positions available. Hours are 16 hours per week: Saturday and Sunday. One position is 2:15 pm - 10:45 pm, and the other is 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm. Our Security Team provides a secure and safe environment for all Residents, Employees and guests of Covenant Village.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED is required.
Must be 21 years or older and have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The Security Officer must be able to read and write.
Must be able to see regular print (with or without corrective lenses).
Must have ample feelings to finger and grasp small objects as well as, balancing, climbing, crouching, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing and stooping.
Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds.
This position will be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions including chemical hazards.
Adequate safety training and equipment will be provided.

Nice To Haves

2 years’ experience in Security or Law Enforcement is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains a friendly, efficient, and spirit of service towards Residents, Employees, and guests.
Patrols and secures the entire building and property on a non-routine basis.
Investigates and reports any suspicious people or activity.
Completes Daily Report, Case Report, and/or Incident Report.
Works with local police when needed and directed by the Director of Security.
Fills in for the Medical Transportation Driver, when needed.
Follows all Emergency Procedures.
Adheres to all Covenant Village policies and procedures and maintains the Mission Statement and CV CARES Core Values of Covenant Village.
Comes to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
