Security Officer - Mass Mutual Center
About The Position
At the MassMutual Center, the Security Officer will maintain a uniformed presence both inside and outside the property, ensuring all employees, visitors, and contractors are authorized while promoting a safe environment. Primary duties include conducting patrols, responding to inquiries, and assisting with event security, all while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as a Security Officer in a similar environment
- Able and willing to work part-time flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays
Nice To Haves
- Prior law enforcement and/or military experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain a welcoming and approachable demeanor, providing superior customer service to clients, visitors, and contractors.
- Conduct patrols of the MassMutual Center and staff assigned posts as directed by Public Safety Managers.
- Respond to questions and requests, offering appropriate information and directions courteously.
- Assist with event security and ensure compliance with established public safety policies and emergency procedures.
- Provide a visible deterrent to crime, maintain high situational awareness, and report suspicious activities or potential threats.
- Respond to emergencies and alarm activations, rendering aid as necessary and reporting incidents immediately.
- Utilize the facility's video surveillance and access control systems as part of security operations.
- Maintain and report on assigned equipment, including radios and uniforms.
