As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests, assist team members, and communicate clearly while documenting activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail and entertainment location.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to management and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of indoor and outdoor areas, including parking areas and perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter policy violations.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, provide directions and assistance to guests, and help manage lines and/or crowd flow during peak hours.
• Document incidents and observations in written reports, communicate updates to site leadership, and use required systems and/or tools for logging activity.
