As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support smooth operations across yards, docks, and building areas. You will monitor activity, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site staff and drivers. Bring integrity, teamwork, and customer-focused service to every shift.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a logistics and distribution location by following site-specific policies, access requirements, and security-related procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouses, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Monitor access points and shipping and receiving areas, verifying identification, checking badges and/or visitor logs, and directing traffic flow as required by post orders.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate and completing required notifications.
- Document daily activities and incident details in written reports, maintaining accurate logs and communicating noteworthy conditions to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
