Job Description As a Security Officer in Scarborough, ME , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a high-visibility presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support team members and visitors with outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, communicate clearly, and document events. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales areas, stock rooms, receiving areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and delivery areas, verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and documenting entries, exits, and unusual activity per post orders.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff.
