As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will complete routine patrols and driving rounds to help reduce security-related incidents, support staff and visitors, and respond to calls for assistance. You will stay highly visible, document activity, and communicate clearly while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting appropriate responders per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, assist with visitor directions and/or wayfinding, and support controlled entry practices as required by site procedures.
  • Document security-related activity in reports, communicate relevant information during shift handoff, and notify supervision and/or site contacts of observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual conditions.
