About The Position

We are seeking dependable and professional Security Officers for upcoming opportunities on all shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd, full-time or part-time) at a fixed location in Clifton Park, NY. Once available, these positions offer set schedules, providing consistency and stability for the right candidates, with a pay rate of $17.50 an hour. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers. No experience necessary! Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license (must be able to pass Safe-Drive certification).
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to enforce site rules firmly and professionally.
  • Excellent written communication skills for report writing.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or confrontational situations.
  • Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior security experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the facility and monitor vehicle drop-offs and pickups.
  • Sit in the guard shack to oversee and manage the secure entry and exit of trucks.
  • Conduct driving patrols throughout the property (Safe-Drive certification required).
  • Log all transactions and activities both on paper and in computer systems.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and ensure site policies are strictly followed.
  • Write clear, professional reports on incidents and daily activities.
  • Handle interactions with visitors and staff, including managing difficult situations.
  • Perform a large portion of duties outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Operate security-related technology and systems.
