Job Description As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol Full-Time in Honolulu, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a renowned hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. By remaining visible and approachable, you will deliver exceptional customer service and communication, upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture in every interaction.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A valid guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for hotels and resorts.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site management.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with hotel management, staff, guests, and emergency responders as needed.
- Follow all site-specific guidelines and procedures established for hotel and resort environments.
