Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of security experience preferred
Valid New York State State Security Guard License
CPR and First Aid certification
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and security systems
Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, evenings, and overnight shifts
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Ability to pass an extensive background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

Monitor premises through regular patrols to ensure safety and security
Control access to the facility by verifying identification and directing visitors if needed
Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity and ensure order
Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and alarms, contacting emergency services when necessary
Observe and report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security breaches
Operate and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and fire alarm panels
Provide assistance, information, and directions to visitors and staff in a professional manner
Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and documentation as required
Collaborate with team members and follow established security procedures and protocols
