As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an automotive location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine rounds, and help document and report security-related activity. You will stay visible to help discourage unwanted behavior, assist employees and visitors with clear communication, and use technology to support daily operations. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, which is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at an automotive manufacturing and/or engineering location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production and/or office areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and visitor authorization, issuing temporary credentials when applicable, and directing traffic flow per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and facility-related concerns, and coordinate notifications per post orders.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, access logs, and incident reports, and communicate observations and handoff information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
