As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-end retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will engage shoppers and staff with standout customer service, communicate concerns quickly, and document observations with attention to detail. Requirements
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for service, disputes, and/or suspicious activity within the retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, back-of-house areas, entrances, loading and receiving areas, and the perimeter to help to deter theft, damage, and/or unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for policy compliance, assisting with loss prevention support while maintaining a professional presence.
- Document routine activity and incident details in reports and logs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or client representatives.
