As a Security Officer Full Time Area Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles).
• Be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• Possess a valid driver’s license (if a driving position).

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post orders, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting security-related concerns as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor assigned areas for suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and other assigned duties that support the location's daily operations and security-related needs.
