About The Position
Friends University is seeking to fill the part-time Security Officer position at our Wichita, Kansas Campus location. The Security Guard will provide third shift security services to Friends University; patrols campus and checks resident halls and other buildings; maintain safe parking conditions on campus. Work hours are Sunday and Monday, midnight to 8 am, guaranteed 20 hours per week; additional hours may occasionally be requested. Willing to work all shifts including occasional weekends and holidays. Requirements
- Two years experience in security or related field is required
- firearms certification
- Must carry handgun that meets with the Wichita Police Department requirements
- Computer skills are necessary (Microsoft Office products desired)
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary
- Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required
- A valid driver’s license is required for this position
- A motor vehicle report will be run to verify insurability and to become an approved driver by the University’s insurance carrier
