As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Screen individuals entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, contractors, and employees with entry procedures and general inquiries.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Document and report any irregularities, suspicious activity, or security-related incidents observed during the screening process.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches of protocols at access points.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including following evacuation or lockdown procedures.
