About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a State Office in Boston MA Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 3 PM - 11 PM Starting Pay is $21.50 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training Candidate is Required to Have 1+ Years of Previous Security/Law Experience As a Security Officer in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering great customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Candidate is Required to Have 1+ Years of Previous Security/Law Experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of roadways, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including directing foot and vehicle traffic as needed.
  • Observe, document, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations using required logs and reporting tools, escalating issues through the chain of command.
  • Support access control activities when assigned, including verifying identification, monitoring visitor and contractor entry, and coordinating with onsite personnel and/or public agencies as needed.
