Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
This is primarily a driving post and is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR or first aid is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries and directing them as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies relevant to access control within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential concerns.
Document all access control activities, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
Assist with emergency response activities as directed, supporting site personnel and first responders as needed.
