As a Security Officer - Medical Center - Weekdays in Smyrna, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine driving and/or foot patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and communication while bringing an agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first approach built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, while reporting unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or disruptive behavior in accordance with location protocols.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in written reports and relay relevant information to supervisors and/or designated personnel.
