Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Clean criminal history
Valid state driver’s license
Strong communication and customer‑service skills
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful situations
Basic computer and radio communication skills
Previous hospital security or law enforcement experience preferred

Nice To Haves

IAHSS Basic Healthcare Security Officer Certification
Compassion in Care / Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (CCT)
American Heart Association HeartSaver Certification

Responsibilities

Safeguard patients, visitors, staff, physicians, and hospital property
Respond quickly and professionally to emergencies and security requests
Patrol hospital buildings, grounds, and parking areas
Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access points
Provide escort services and assistance during inclement weather
Support hospital emergency codes and disaster procedures
Document daily activities and complete incident reports accurately
Collaborate with clinical and non‑clinical teams to maintain a secure environment
