As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols. You will remain highly visible, interact with visitors and staff, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points within a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, offering assistance to employees and visitors as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for emergency response.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance needs within the location.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment.
