As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading educational location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, conduct routine rounds in buildings and outdoor spaces, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and questions, communicate clearly, and document concerns. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of campus buildings, residence halls exteriors, academic spaces, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, fire alarms, and other campus emergencies, and coordinate notifications per site procedures.
Monitor and control access to designated areas by checking identification, observing entry points, and verifying authorized access during patrol activities.
Observe, document, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations; complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
Provide directions and general assistance to campus community members and visitors, including after-hours support and escort requests when assigned.
Assist with crowd management and security-related support for campus events, lectures, and athletic activities as directed by site leadership.
Use communication equipment to maintain contact with site leadership and/or public responders, relay updates, and request additional support when needed.
