About The Position
The Security Officer enforces security related policies and procedures to provide a safe and secure environment for all employees, visitors, patients and physical properties. This role also performs other duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals.
Requirements
- Valid NYS drivers license
- NYS certification as a Security Guard
- High school graduate or equivalent
- BLS/CPR certification
- First aid training
- Ability to diffuse and handle violent physical situations calmly
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years security experience
- College level course work in criminal justice
Responsibilities

- Participate in orientation and continuing education and update and maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise
