THE JOB: As a member of MGM Northfield Park's Security force, you'll ensure safety and security for all while responding to emergencies, threats of violence, and life safety concerns. This role requires specialized training and physical conditioning, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on the well-being of our guests and staff. THE STARTING RATE: $18.50 THE DAY-TO-DAY: Patrols across all areas of the property, including exterior areas—using a bicycle or company vehicle to maintain a safe and secure environment. Operate advanced alarm systems and surveillance cameras to monitor property activity effectively. Serve as a first responder, providing critical support during emergency situations. Manage gaming transactions with precision, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers, while ensuring compliance. Document daily activities and irregularities, including property damage, theft, accidents, or unusual occurrences, through detailed and accurate reports. Serve as a key communication point, relaying important information and coordinating responses via phone or two-way radio. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Proficiency in learning and effectively applying defensive tactics and handcuffing techniques. Capability to actively participate in evacuation procedures, ensuring the safety of guests and employees during emergencies. Skilled in operating assigned equipment with precision and care. Aptitude for quickly learning and proficiently using various computer software systems. Can successfully complete a comprehensive security officer academy training course. Has a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Must be 19 or older. Has flexibility to work overnights, weekends and holidays. Must have a valid driver's license.
