As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to reduce security-related incidents. You will greet customers and associates, answer questions, and communicate clearly while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, stock areas, loading areas, and exterior perimeter, as assigned.
Monitor entrances, exits, and key activity areas to help reduce theft, damage, and other policy violations; report observed issues per site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and property-related concerns.
Support store operations by observing and reporting suspicious behavior and/or hazardous conditions to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
Complete required reports such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation with clear, accurate details.
Assist with access control as assigned by verifying authorized entry, directing deliveries, and managing visitor check-in and/or vendor interactions.
Use communication equipment and/or mobile devices to maintain contact with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and request additional assistance when needed.
Maintain a professional presence while providing directions, answering questions, and de-escalating conflicts through customer-focused interaction.
Participate in required briefings and training, and follow post orders and site-specific policies consistently throughout the shift.
