Job Description As a Security Officer - Full Time - Unarmed Position in Cicero, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site teams, document observations, and provide customer service with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required to meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements while supporting mobile patrol coverage. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, administrative buildings, and perimeter fencing, as permitted by site rules and post orders.
  • Control access by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, and observing for unauthorized entry or suspicious activity to help to deter incidents.
  • Complete routine reporting such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate conditions impacting operations such as spills, odors, alarms, and/or equipment concerns to the appropriate site personnel.
