Job Description As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Ruther Glen, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol warehouses, yards, and entry points to help identify security-related concerns and support smooth daily operations. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, respond to incidents, and document observations clearly. Bring strong customer service and communication as you work with site teams, drivers, and visitors with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or delivery documentation, and maintaining orderly traffic flow for trucks and pedestrians.
• Complete thorough reports and logs of patrols, access control activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate key information during shift turnovers.
