About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for executing Security duties on their assigned shift to ensure a safe and friendly environment for the guests. This role involves following company policies and procedures to maintain the security of Team Members, Guests, Vendors, company funds, and physical property. The officer generates necessary written reports on security-related incidents, escorts and observes customers and employees for safety, identifies potential safety hazards, and may act as a Dispatcher to inform outside agencies of unusual situations. They must maintain a working knowledge of the company’s facilities and special events, interact professionally with customers and employees, and ensure high levels of customer service. The position requires accepting identification for compliance with gaming regulations, maintaining consistent attendance, upholding confidentiality, and responding to guest inquiries. The Security Officer is also responsible for meeting safety standards, resolving hazards, and serving as a role model for Prairie Flower Casino’s Mission and Values.

Requirements

Excellent Guest Service and interpersonal skills required.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Strong organizational skills required.
Ability to read, analyze, and act upon documents and reports necessary.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must be able to effectively use a computer as well as various software including Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

1 year of casino industry experience preferred.
Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

Follows all company policy and procedures which maintain the security of the Team Members, Guest, Vendors, company funds and physical property.
Generates necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving customers, employees, and/or the facility. Responsible for the accuracy and thoroughness of records and reports.
Escorts and observes customers and employees, to ensure their safety and protection; identifies potential safety hazards and reports to the appropriate individual for proper resolution.
May be required to act as a Dispatcher which includes informing outside agencies of any unusual or suspicious situations on property.
Maintains a working knowledge of the company’s facilities, as well as special events on property.
Interacts with customers and employees in a positive, professional manner.
Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
Accepts identification as necessary to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.
Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Responds to common inquiries or concerns from guests and ensures the appropriate leadership team member or resource is utilized to help with timely and positive resolution.
Must be able to work the required work schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Works physically onsite to manage business and interact personally with Team Members, vendors and guests.
Ensures all safety standards are met and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved.
