Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable and successful security experience required
Current, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to remain calm and take appropriate action in stressful situations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
Effective verbal and written communication in English

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Associate’s degree or higher in any discipline preferred
Service in active-duty military, reserves, National Guard, or auxiliary police/cadet programs preferred
Healthcare security experience preferred
At least six (6) months of customer interaction experience preferred

Responsibilities

Perform proactive monitoring and respond promptly to potential or actual security threats
Investigate and manage all security incidents and hazards on hospital premises
Maintain knowledge of and adhere to policies regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness
Facilitate drills and simulations for emergency preparedness
Provide assistance and information to staff and visitors to promote safety
Serve both internal staff and external customers, clients, and contractors
Handle sensitive and/or confidential information
Perform other duties as assigned
