About The Position

The security officer secures the lot. They are responsible for maintaining the security of the premises as well as to intake any new vehicles that are being transported in. This is a position heavily focused on customer service.

Requirements

Demonstrates strong knowledge of security operations, access control, and incident response procedures.
Communicates clearly and professionally with employees, customers, vendors, and external agencies.
Applies strong judgment and decision-making during urgent or high-risk situations.
Maintains strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy for incident logs and reporting.
Works effectively in fast-paced environments with moving vehicles, public activity, and shifting priorities.
Maintains confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Uses basic computer systems and reporting tools proficiently.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous security experience preferred
Should be highly organized, self-motivated and self-disciplined
Highly customer service oriented
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must possess a valid driver's license
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods across lots and facilities.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to respond quickly to incidents and navigate active operational areas safely.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds (cones, barriers, signage, equipment).

Responsibilities

Always provide efficient and courteous service to all customers
Receive and log all incoming vehicles
Checks and verifies stock number, VIN, color and model of all vehicles, prior to release
Ensure appropriate signature and approval on all release documents.
Patrols the entire premises looking for anything out of the ordinary.
Communicates timely and exceptionally well with supervisor and leadership informing them if there is any concern.
Ensure facility is always locked.
Maintains a clean and orderly guard shack.
Works well independently as well as being a good team player.
Communicates timely and exceptionally well with leadership informing them of all issues including ones that may be deemed detrimental to the success of operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
