As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Whitestown, IN, the role involves serving and safeguarding clients in industries such as Food/Beverage. This is a Part-Time position offering flexibility to build a schedule and explore new roles using the company's 'Claim a Shift' platform. The Unarmed Patrol Officer will be stationed at a food and beverage location, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and fostering a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity, always prioritizing people.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance-related issues.
  • Support daily operations by communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel, following post orders, and assisting with incident response and/or evacuation procedures when needed.
