Now Interviewing for Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved. Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out assigned security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and observe site activity, documenting security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues according to post instructions. Support emergency response activities and assist with directing foot traffic and/or vehicle traffic during routine operations, public events, or unexpected situations. Requirements

  • 1 year Security Experience
  • Computer Literacy
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
