As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible, and communicate clearly with team members, drivers, and visitors while documenting observations. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor and driver logs, and directing employees, contractors, and delivery personnel to approved areas.
- Screen inbound and outbound traffic, including trucks and shipments, by verifying appointments, paperwork, and load information as required by site procedures and reporting irregularities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, warehouse areas, parking lots, and the perimeter, and complete detailed reports of observations and security-related incidents.
