About The Position

As a Security Officer Manufacturing Facility in Grand Rapids, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response support when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit points for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles, verifying credentials and following location procedures for visitor management and restricted area access.
• Support daily operations at the location by communicating with site personnel, assisting with incident reports, and observing equipment, materials, and/or work areas for suspicious or unusual conditions.
