As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication, while reporting concerns and documenting activity. Requirements

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and requesting medical staff, management, and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor traffic, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and direct individuals to appropriate departments while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, document security-related observations, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
