About The Position

The SECURITY OFFICER for Island View Casino & Beach Resort is responsible for safeguarding property assets and ensuring the casino environment is safe and secure for patrons and employees of the casino, as well as being responsible for the physical safety of guests, employees, and company assets and is required to greet internal and external guests, maintain a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.The Security Officer is also responsible for escorting chips, cash, and table game drops, ensures that no unauthorized persons enter the gaming floor by checking credentials/Identification. Quickly responds to any emergency situation as required, reports any criminal or suspicious activity and will be required to Initiate and prepare security incident reports daily.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • valid drivers license
  • ability to obtain a Mississippi Gaming Permit required
  • All Security Employees must maintain a good driving record at all times. A good driving record consists of five years driving experience, may not have more than three accidents and/or moving violations in the previous three years, may not have more than two accidents and/or moving violations in the previous one year and my not have a major conviction defined as: Driving while intoxicated, or leaving the scene of an accident, or homicide or assault by motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to operate security communications systems involving dispatching officers on details and answering phones.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
