About The Position

Armorous Security is seeking professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Security Officers to support a licensed cannabis cultivation facility. This is a 24/7 indoor assignment requiring strong accountability, consistent performance, and a high level of awareness. This is not a typical security post. Officers play a key role in protecting a high-value operation, maintaining safety, and supporting day-to-day site activity. ⚠️ Important Work Environment Notice: This position is located inside a marijuana grow facility. There is a constant, strong cannabis odor throughout the entire shift The smell will absorb into clothing and uniforms Officers must be comfortable working indoors for the full 8-hour shift Breaks are taken on-site Candidates who are not comfortable with these conditions should not apply.

Requirements

Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).
Current with BSIS Compliance
i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
32-hour continuing education certificates
Ability to work in an environment with a strong cannabis odor throughout entire 8-hour shift
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
Proven reliability and strong attendance
Ability to hold officers accountable while maintaining a positive team environment
High level of integrity in a high-value environment
Proactive mindset (not prone to complacency)
Comfortable using technology, reporting systems, and communication apps
Prior security experience (required)

Nice To Haves

Experience in cannabis industry (highly preferred)
Experience with alarms, surveillance systems, and reporting tools

Responsibilities

Maintain a 100% indoor post and monitor site activity
Conduct regular foot patrols (Around 3 miles per shift)
Monitor for water leaks and facility issues (critical responsibility)
Operate alarm systems, fire panels, and respond to alerts
Use Zello and other communication tools to coordinate with staff
Monitor cameras and capture/report video when needed
Control access and check in/out staff and visitors
Complete detailed reports and communicate with site contacts
Remain alert and proactive at all times
