Job Description As a Security Officer in Pittsburgh, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Screener in an education location, you will greet students, staff, and visitors while supporting access points through screening, badge checks, and clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, document security-related activity, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce incidents. Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies while supporting a welcoming campus environment at designated entry points.
• Screen people and items entering the location by verifying identification, checking authorization, and conducting bag/package screening as required by post orders.
• Monitor entry and queuing areas, assist with directions and access questions, and document visitor access and/or deliveries according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Complete required reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and support security-related emergency response activities when appropriate.
