As a Security Officer Part Time Roving Patrol in Lisle, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. You will work in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, conducting routine patrols, maintaining visibility to reduce security-related incidents, and supporting access awareness through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Support daily operations by maintaining detailed activity logs, preparing incident reports, and following Allied Universal post instructions and client site policies.
