As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and visibility checks, monitor access points, and respond to alarms and/or unusual activity. You will document incidents, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Have a guard card and/or license preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, and parking areas, as well as the building perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and assist with access control by verifying identification, directing foot traffic, and supporting visitor management practices in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and relay pertinent information during post transitions.
