About The Position

This position is responsible for creating a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, visitors, and property of the Inspira Health Network. Security officers will provide proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents. Inspira security officers will provide excellent customer service and will be able topetently work with people who are under stress and/or in need of medical assistance. Works with the Environment of Caremittee to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to safety, security, workplace violence and emergency management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 6 months of security experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Basic Security Officer Certification (IAHSS) required within 1 year of hire.
• Inspira Health approved de-escalation andmon language training required within 100 days of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS required within 100 days.
• Ability to effectively interact with hospital employees, visitors, patients, contractors, and volunteers.
• Ability to effectively manage the responsibilities and duties of the position and the department.

Nice To Haves

• (3) years' experience in law enforcement, private security or investigations preferred.
