As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through strong customer service while documenting observations and escalating issues when needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances and/or the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as required, managing visitor check-in and/or directing foot traffic according to site procedures.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms and/or radios, and complete shift logs, incident reports and other required documentation.
