Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol Rounds in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible, interact with employees and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding Allied Universal's values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in the job state.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by TSA is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards, adapting to the unique environment of a chemical or petrochemical facility.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as required during incidents or drills.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, patrols, and/or incidents as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, adapting to changing site conditions or requirements.
