Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will support logistics and distribution operations by conducting screening procedures and monitoring assigned areas. Your role will be key in helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and visible presence, while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and/or packages as required for the location.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel to support a secure environment.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or concerns according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns, as directed by site management or Allied Universal protocols.
