As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Washington, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. At a busy food and beverage processing location, Allied Universal professionals conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a food and beverage processing location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, contractors, and deliveries, following site protocols for visitor processing, vehicle checks, and restricted area access.
  • Observe facility operations for security-related issues such as damaged doors, unsecured gates, spills, and/or other hazards, and communicate findings according to site procedures.
